 Esau Jenkins Village Wait List Opening

The Housing Authority of the City of Charleston will be accepting ONLINE preliminary applications for applicants age 62 or older for 1 and 2 bedroom units at Esau Jenkins Village on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

To apply, please complete the online application at www.chacity.org during the designated timeframe. Applications will not be accepted by mail, fax, or email.

You can complete your online application using a cell phone, tablet, or computer with internet or Wi-Fi access.

If you are a person who is unable to complete an online application due to a physical or mental impairment, such as blindness or amputation (HANDS), etc., please call the Housing Authority of the City of Charleston on Monday, August 25, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM for a phone screening (ONLY) for a reasonable accommodation at (843) 377-1818.

If you qualify for a reasonable accommodation, you will be given an appointment to complete the application on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. If you do NOT qualify for a reasonable accommodation, you will need to complete the waitlist application online on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
