Housing Authority of the City of Charleston will accept ONLINE preliminary applications for Public Housing.
The designated date will be the ONLY day available to apply.
*The waitlist is Only Open on the Date Below from 12 noon – 1 pm *

Online applications will start at 12:00 Noon and remain open until each waitlist has been filled or 1:00 pm EST., whichever occurs first.

Applicants must complete the online application at https://chacity.myhousing.com/ during the designated timeframe.

You may complete your online application by cell phone, tablet, or computer with internet access or Wi-Fi.
If you are a person who is unable to complete an online application due to a physical or mental impairment, such as blindness, amputation (HANDS), etc., please call The Housing Authority of the City of Charleston on Monday, October 27, 2025, between the hours of 10:00 am and 12:00 pm to complete a phone screening for a reasonable accommodation at (843) 377-1818.
